R.S. vs. New York Presb. Hospital. Supreme Court, Westchester County This was a wrongful death/medical malpractice lawsuit that resulted in a $650,000.00 settlement offer accepted by the surviving widow during trial. The damages to the 78 year old retired male were a few minutes of pain and suffering caused by hospital negligence when his right ventricle was punctured by a chest tube causing him to bleed out and suffer brain damage. He lapsed into a coma and never regained consciousness. The money compensates the estate for about 2-3 minutes of conscious pain and suffering.

Kerr vs. Bridgewaters Restaurant - A food poisining case that resulted in a settlement of $600,000. The client ate food at the location and became sick. The client developed transverse mylitis which is a syndrome that attackes nerves in the spinal column.
